Design

This laptop has chalboard grey plastic shell on the outside that feel sturdy.

The lid has a logo of HP and Chrome but is otherwise plain.

It’s interior has full aluminum design that feel soft to the touch.

Speaker

The bezels are of standard size which is not very slim but not too thick.

The top firing speakers on the laptop don’t live up to their Bang and Olufsen branding even though they are loud enough in a small office.

Above the Chromebook keyboard you will find the pair of Bang and Olufsen speakers.

The bass heavy opening sounded distorted and warped while the vocals they jumped in afterward where hollow.

There is a mid level vocal notes that came off okay.

Ports

It has decent amount of ports.

On the left there is a security lock slot, a USB type C port and a USB 2.0 port.

While the right features USB type C port and a USB 2.0 port along with micro SD slot and a headphone jack.

Display

At 235 nits of brightness this laptop display is on par with 234 nit category average.

It’s keyboard is clicky and pleasant to type which is a nice and comfortable to use.

Performance

The Chrome OS is a stripped down operating system that relies heavily on Google Chrome.

Chromebooks typically have less storage than the average laptop.

So you have to rely on cloud to store what you want.

Since you cant download applications from internet you will have to use Play Store to download games and apps for photo editing, music and communication.

Webcam

HP’s 720P webcam may look like a side character that was about to get killed off in a horror flick.
