Even while we can quickly look past the light-duty CPU and GPU, it’s pretty hard to ignore the fact that Lenovo’s Chromebook Duet features 64 gigabytes of HDD. Without any shadow of a doubt, Chromebook Duet is not enough, even if you intend to use the Chromebook exclusively for binge-watching and web surfing.

There’s a 5-megapixel selfie camera suitable for your video calls, but we won’t recommend clicking pictures for your Instagram feed.
However, even though the prices are low, it turns out to be quite expensive once you add the accessories. Overall, the Microsoft Surface laptop is a handy device for digital art student as it can be used as a laptop and a tablet. Overall, the display is outstanding; for your regular content consumption, home, and office work, this display will work well. Also, the colors don’t look washed out when you move the screen. This 2-in-1 touch screen laptop is super glossy, so if you’re working in outdoor conditions, then it might be a minor issue.
Also, the display covers only 65 percent of the sRGB color gamut, so the display is not that good for color-intensive work. Its nits count is around 250. The bezels around the display are also narrow, and it gives Lenovo Flex 5i a very pleasing look, as the display and the bezels blend into one solid piece of glass.
Its screen-to-body ratio is 85 percent. Overall, the display functions well, and most of you will not have any issues with it.
Lenovo Flex 5 has a simple two-tone design which is pretty slick. The latest black plastic deck is gunmetal grey aluminum. It is one of the best non-Windows laptop stops; the MacBook Air runs on a Dual-Core 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor. It has a base clock speed of 1.8 gigahertz, which can be boosted up to 2.9 gigahertz. The GPU is an integrated Intel UHD graphics 6000.
The GPU is a bit old; it can handle modern graphical work with ease. The MacBook Air does not have any stuttering or lagging problems. This is because of the storage capacity of 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes SSD.
The keyboard is well known to be super on the well-known Apple MacBook Pros; you will find a shallow but clicky and responsive keyboard. Overall, it provides a very decent typing experience as they have lighted keys.
Finally, the battery is quite good with 12 hours of backup on a full charge. However, we don’t recommend using this laptop for drawing and intense work sessions.
Overall, the MacBook Air provides a premium experience and can be a good laptops for digital art students; you should give this laptop a look.

4. Asus ZenBook 15
The 4th best laptop for artists on our list is Asus ZenBook 15. It is one of the most compact 15-inch notebooks that we’ve ever come across, and it’s featuring a comet-lake processor. Not only that, but it has a few cool features like a built-in secondary display that also acts as a trackpad, as well as a discrete graphics card and it’s well priced considering that the specs and features.
Asus is claiming some crazy battery life on this notebook.
ZenBook 15 is probably one of the unique designs that you’ll ever come across in a notebook. The royal blue metal finish, along with the rose gold accents, really makes this notebook stand out from the competition. The same trend continues on the inside; props to Asus kept the color scheme consistent.
The build quality is superb on the ZenBook 15. The chassis is mainly made out of aluminum, so there’s barely any flex on the screen and the base. The hinge is robust, and it automatically tilts a keyboard and a 3-degree angle to optimize your typing experience; plus, it also helps the notebook breathe a little better.
The ZenBook 15 offers a good balance of size and portability, so this shouldn’t be a huge deal breaker to carry around if you’re in school or a business professional. Because it’s pretty thin and light, you can easily tuck ZenBook 15 in a backpack.
The ZenBook 15 comes with a 15.6-inch 1080P display. Asus claims that it covers 100 percent of the sRGB color space, but for more tests. It also doesn’t get that bright, so outdoor visibility is entirely out of the question. Plus, it does come with a glossy finish, so there’s that, but there will be a matte version too.
Now look for casual content consumption and maybe a little gaming; this screen will get the job done.
The specs on the ZenBook 15 are impressive for a slim thin, and light notebook. This is an updated version of last year’s ZenBook 15 but with refreshed internals. It features a Gen Intel Core i7 10510U processor Quad Core processor with 8 threads, 16 gigabytes of RAM in dual channel, one terabyte of PCIe NVMe SSD, and a GTX 1650 Max-Q.
The comet-lake processor is no slouch. It performs well in this Single-Core test compared to the 1065G7 isolate processor found in XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop. It gives us an additional 5 to 10% of performance.
Asus is managed to fit a full-size keyboard, and the keys themselves are excellent. They feature an adequate travel distance, and there’s less wobbling around the keys, which is fantastic. This keyboard is miles better than Razor Blade 15. The keyboard is backlit, but unfortunately, it’s not very bright.
Asus has decided to integrate a 5.7-inch display that also functions as a trackpad; think of it as a secondary display to complement your primary screen. The trackpad can be enabled by simply swiping from the bottom of the display.
The port selection is decent; you get a USB 3.1 Gen1 port and an Audio Jack on the left-hand side. Switching over to the right, you’ll find power-in, an HDMI, a type-A port, and a Type-C port, Both of which support USB 3.1 Gen2 standard and, surprisingly, a full-size SD card slot. The lack of a thunderbolt 3 port is disappointing.
The ZenBook 15 comes with a 71-watt hour unit, and it’s outstanding. You’ll be able to get a battery life little over 9 hours. Under the heavy load, it’s lower than most other thin and light laptops, but that could be since it has a 15 screen and a discrete graphics card.
The speakers are bottom-facing, and they sound okay. There’s no baas lacks body to the sound.
Asus ZenBook 15 is made for people who appreciate having a reasonably large screen with perfect battery life and adequate performance. These features boost heavy tasks like video editing, photo editing, or 3D work or in just anything that would benefit from an additional discrete graphics card.
3. MSI P65 Creator
The 3rd best laptop for artists on our list is MSI P65 Creator. The bright bearing metal throughout his disarming it’s bolder than virtually all other work machines and even looks more outlandish than some gaming laptops. The white finish is not the only extravagant design flourish.
The edges and rear are covered with angular heat vents, and a neat hexagonal speaker grille sits above the keyboard. The bottom is robust, but the screen is a little weaker.
The built quality feels sturdy, and it’s made out of solid materials. There’s a little bit of flex on the inner deck towards the keyboard settings is located. It is such a light and portable laptop. The MSI P65 weighs around 4.1 pounds and is 18 millimeters thick, so it isn’t overly chunky for a 15-inches workstation-grade device.
But this is often another area where the P65 falls behind sleeker rivals with slimmer and lighter laptops easy to seek out into the broader market.
The screen is an ultra-thin bezel-less 15.6-inch display, and it looks nice, crisp, and vibrant. So it has excellent color reproduction; also, it has an unheard-of 144-hertz refresh rate with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It comes with a very, very fast refresh rate, something usually targeted for gamers, but professionals can also use those things.
The screen takes up nearly all of that space with a skinny bezel. It comes with the 144-hertz screen while having a better refresh rate has limited usefulness when working. Its smoother motion will help in some scenarios like animation, and it is also handy for gaming. The MSI returned a powerful contrast ratio of 1304 to 1.
The contrast is high enough to ensure good punching clarity while the black point delivers solid inky depths. The luminosity is okay for the office, photo, and video editing work, but it isn’t high enough to enable stable conditions while working outdoors. It also handles 83.8 percent of the sRGB color gamut.
The MSI P6 relies on an i7 8750H 6-Cores processor with hyperthreading and runs at base clock speeds of 2.2 gigahertz. It also comes with 8 gigabytes of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q graphics core. It’s smooth and responsible gaming.
It does well in terms of content creation, and it’s an overall beast for anything you might consider using it for. The 1070 Max-Q graphics and the 144 hertz are targeted more towards gamers.
The keyboard is also really lovely, and it’s got quite large keycaps which make for an enjoyable type of experience. The keys of the keyboard also come with a decent keypress, and it’s well laid out. The trackpads come in a nice size, and it’s got metallic finishes. It’s smooth and responsive; you’ll like it.
One additional feature is that there’s a fingerprint reader on the touchpad. The touchpad is one of the single, oversized, large touchpads with integrated left and right clicks. There’s no RGB backlighting like on the GS 65 that helps keep that professional appearance and make sure it’s not too showy.
Something that will be important to every user is going to be the connectivity options. Starting on the right-hand side, we have a USB 3 port, a USB Type-C port, a DisplayPort, an HDMI port, DC power input for charging, and an exhaust port. To the back of the laptop, no connectivity but just all exhaust vents.
Moving on the left-hand side, we have a Kensington lock port, more exhaust for cooling, RJ45 port, two more USB 3 ports, and two 3.5 millimeter audio connectivity ports, one for your headphones and one for an external microphone. All in all, it’s a pretty good amount of connectivity.
According to MSI, if you have a full charge, you can get up to 8 hours of runtime on the included battery life.
The speakers have got excellent clarity, but there’s no volume, and they’re downward-firing, so not that great but perfectly usable if it’s just sitting right in front of your laptop.
We do have our standard integrated webcam and microphone.
All in all, it’s a reasonably well laid out laptop. It fits a lot into a small package. You have lots of processing power, and any content creator should be pleased with this laptop.

The MacBook Pro 16-inch has the highest capacity battery life Apple has ever put in a Notebook. This 100 watt-hour lithium-polymer battery powers the more prominent display and provides longer battery life up to 11 hours.
The six-speaker system with forced cancelling woofers produces loud sound enough to fill up any room and yet remains clear, so you’ve been here almost every beat. Unlike most high-powered laptops, the MacBook Pro remains ultralight 4 pounds and is compact enough to be carried away in a backpack.

Buying Guide – What to consider when buying your laptop
Suppose you’re not playing PC games creating 3D objects or hi-res video editing, an integrated graphics chip that shares the system memory. In that case, we’ll be fine, especially Intel’s latest Iris plus graphics, if you have any of the above needs. However, a discrete graphics processor from AMD or Nvidia is essential.
As with processors, there are both high and low-end graphics chips. The low-end gaming or workstation systems today usually have Nvidia MX 250 or GTX 1650 GPUs. While the mid-range models of RTX 2050 or RTX 2060 and the high-end models of RTX 2070 or RTX 2080 processors.
The RAM, also known as random access memory, is the high-speed component that temporarily stores all the information advice needs. It’s essentially short-term memory. Most laptops already have anywhere between 2 gigabytes to 8 gigabytes of RAM already installed, perfect for the average user.
If you need to take on challenging tasks like editing video content or gaming the night away, you’ll most likely need at least 8 gigabytes or more.
The more pixels you have, the more content you can fit on the screen and the sharper it’ll look. Sadly some budget laptop still has 1366 x 768 displays and so to a few business laptops. But if you can afford it then we recommend you to pay few extra dollars for a panel look that runs at 1920 x 1080, also known as full HD or 1080P.
